Research shows that playing an active role in your child’s education can have a positive impact on his or her success. Generally, student’s grades, test scores, and attendance all improve when parents are involved in various aspects of school. Student behavior also improves when parents participate in activities. In fact, research shows that you play such a large role in your child’s success that students whose parents are active in education are more likely to attend school past High School.
The following opportunities are some of ways you can volunteer and be active in your child’s education. Please see the additional links under this section for a more detailed list of ways you can be involved and how to become an approved volunteer!
