About Me

I grew up south of Shiloh in Herrin, Illinois. I earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and later my master's degree and reading specialist certification from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

In my free time, I like to hang out with my husband, my two daughters, and my son. We just added a beagle puppy named Oliver to our family last summer, so life is extra fun laughing at his puppy antics. I also enjoy yoga, swimming, listening to music, watching movies, baking, riding roller coasters, and reading. I'm an Illini, a Cardinals, and a Saluki fan.
